New competitors will bring some fresh air to the field for the final races

Class title might be already decided, but it is now official that DPi class will feature two more cars for the last races of the season, the 8 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps and the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

Twin-brothers Giuseppe and Nicola Pastore will make their debut in the championship on Team Shiba #32 Cadillac. The two simdrivers already proved to be fast in the European Endurance Championship as Giuseppe is costantly fighting for a podium spot in LMP2, while Nicola just won the third round at Silverstone in LMGTE.

The other car officially joining the championship will be Executive Project Mazda #26. Gianluca Scalvini and Stefano Conte will move from MR Motorsport’s Oreca #71 to the upper class. Yuri De Bella, currently competing in the European Endurance Championship, will join them to complete the lineup.

There are rumours that some more entries may join the grid before the next round in Spa, but nothing confirmed yet.
