Mika Hakimi and his teammates are looking to play an important role in EES once again

More familiar faces will be around in Season 6. In this case, we are referring to Dozoff Blue Steel Racing, which is now becoming a permanent presence in the eSport Endurance Series. The team is entering three cars, one for each class. Today our focus is on the defending champions driving the Hypercar #1. Mika Hakimi shared a few words with us on the challenges he expects in the season ahead.

First of all, congratulations on winning LMHC in Season 5. We have seen you in the past winning races, but never quite getting a real shot at the title. How did you manage to make that extra step?

Thank you! Yeah it feels very nice to finally win the title, we feel like we had a steep learning curve, and consistently fighting at the front was a new challenge for us. We just tried our best to be very disciplined & consistent with our practice.

You have driven the Hypercar last season, you are going to drive the revisited Hypercar in Season 6. Can you share with us some early impressions on the new car?

We’re loving the extra challenge of this season! New car, new tricky things to learn and all to play for. Should be fun.

It looks like Hypercar class is becoming more and more competitive. Which teams do you consider the biggest threats in your title-defending season?

It is becoming much more competitive! Some FSR pro drivers have now also entered the championship and it is great to see. Many big names out there we have to fight with, I think Sander Kallas’ team would pack the hardest punch.
